CHERI - CHILD HEALTH AND EDUCATION REFORMATVE INTEGRATED SERVICES

CHERI is Amelio's health initiative exclusively for school children. The objective of CHERI is to promote the health of children and youth by supporting health programsas a foundation for school and success.

CHERI envisions launching a co-ordinated school health programme in which there are coherent, syndicated efforts from all concerned viz the school administration, students, their families and the community at large. CHERI is the nodal entity that co-ordinates all the activities, decides on the strategies and monitors the progress.

CHERI comprises of a team of Doctors, Adolescent Health Specialists, Pediatricians, Nutritionists, Dieticians, Physiotherapist, Fitness Experts, Dentists, Ophthalmologists etc
Such an endeavour would essentially include the following to achieve a healthy environment :
Medical & Nursing services including Minor Emergencies
Physical training & Ergohealth Education
Health Evaluation of students and staff
Maintenance of a comprehensive health database
Training programs on topics related to health & diseases including First Aid
Functons of School Health Committee

A co-ordinated school health model should include eight components -
Health Education
Physical Education
Health Services
Nutrition Services
Health Promotion
Counselling
Environment
