CHILDREN
Preparing for exams
The desire to do well in their boards is the most cherished ambition of every student of std 10th and std 12th, and to help them achieve this programmes are conducted that gives them tips on how to tackle their exams.
Adolescent Health
Adolescence is the age group with a number of biological and physiological changes.
Our trained experts have devised programmes for 8th std students on the common
problems and ways to deal with the challenges of this phase of life.
Our Adolescent health [advanced] programme sensitizes the 9th and 11th std students on
HIV/ AIDS.
Child Abuse
Child abuse is on the rise today and unfortunately happens to a few during some time of
their childhood. In order to protect and prepare them against child abuse sessions are
planned for the students of 7th std. Thus guiding them to recognize the various methods
of abuse along with remedial measures.
Personality Grooming
In today’s world presenting oneself in an appropriate manner and leaving a good
impression on others is very important. To meet this need the students are sensitized
early on the etiquette of presenting oneself according to the situation and place.
The students of 6th
std will be exposed to this concept in this programme.
Mummy And Me
At CHERI we do believe in preventive measures and to prevent the problems occurring in adolescent age, girls of 5th std with their mothers are provided information on how to approach the changes taking place during adolescence and tips to deal with them.
Feel Good Campaign
Here specialists in the fields of eye, skin and dental are available in the school premises for the screening and rendering valuable advice to students.
Health Mela
The tiny tots are not going to be left behind. The idea behind the health mela for the students of kindergarten and 1st- 4th std students with their parents is to propagate the idea of a healthy mind and a healthy body in children as young as these. This will go a long way in making them healthy adults.
CHERI CLUB
In addition to the practiced methods of imparting education in school a forum needs to be formed for the students through which we elders can get the students view on various things, hence the following terms are formed
I Team - comprising of the literary group is responsible for compiling articles for the CHERI newsletter, school notice boards on various health related topics.
Z Team - is ateam with students trained in First-Aid
G Team - this group will form the main thrust force behind the implementation of the Green School Rating in the school.
The members shall be from 5th std onwards.

Exposure visit to ASHA Foundation
In todays world the teachers need to be equipped with the knowledge to deal with various types of students they are likely to get, hence a visit to a school for the differently abled children [ ASHA Foundation]
Teachers Workshop.
A programme devised to help teachers to identify and manage children suffering from Autism and handling Hyperactive children.
Executive Health Checkup
Only a healthy teacher will be able to carry out the myriad functions allotted to her/him and to help them a health checkup comprising of blood and other tests like ECG will help in detecting the warning signs of any incoming health problem in the future.
Teachers Retreat
In an attempt to rejuvenate the spirits of teachers a retreat is planned wherein the teachers can let their guard down and together with enjoying themselves can interact with each other as well as with experts from different fields.
PARENTS
Understanding children’s learning process
It is very important to make the parents aware of this to prevent unnecessary burden of expectations being put on them by parents.
This programme has been devised for parents of 5th, 6th and 7th std students.
Tackling Mood Swings in children
A very familiar sight of parents of adolescent children tearing away their hair while trying to keep up with the varying moods of their children, prompted CHERI to initiate a workshop for parents of 8th , 9th and 10th std students on the same topic.
Helping your child choose the right career
It is vital for parents of std 10th and 12th to possess the right information regarding career choices for their children to enable them to guide their children to choose the career most suited to them.
GENERAL
Setting up and/or ISO Rating of Infirmary
In an attempt to standardize the functioning of various components of a school a standard is applied to the infirmary for which training is imparted to the doctors as well as the infirmary staff, on the requirements for the application of this standard. After which an audit is carried out by an external agency.
Morbidity data analysis
This is to understand the disease load on the school in which an analysis will be done of the data available with the infirmary, for this the Lyceum and the infirmary attendance shall be used.
Green School Rating
A scientific manner of improving the environment of the school is the implementation of this rating. In this a committee of students and teachers will calculate the existing usage of the natural resources and based on the calculations will suggest remedial measures.
Safety Audits
The regular auditing of the various facilities namely the Canteen, Laboratories i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Water and Sanitation , Infirmary are carried out and reports are submitted accordingly.
First-Aid trainings
The teachers, staff as well as students are trained on the various aspects of First-Aid to equip them to handle any emergency.
Vaccination and health checkup of canteen staff
In an attempt to prevent the spread of food borne diseases a regular health checkup of canteen staff is a very important step.
Health education for staff
An attempt to make every staff member responsible for building up a healthy school environment it is essential that the staff has knowledge regarding the various aspects of health.
